Monday, August 6, 4:30pm – Dusk: “A Midsummer Night’s Feast”
This is a special evening market dedicated to local food and music. This year it is a family oriented event. There will be lots of delicious local food to eat, live music, the train will be running (adults and children can ride for $2), and there will be a bonfire with free marshmallows.
Saturday, August 11, 10:30am – 12:30pm: Blackberry Day
To kick off the Powell River community’s Blackberry Festival the market will have kids’ games and lots of blackberry goodies!
Sunday, August 12, 12:30pm – 2:30pm: Freezer Composter Workshop
Join Compost Specialist Bert Baillie to learn how to do a complete freezer-to-composter conversion, nourish your compost, and maintain temperatures around 140 degrees. Come witness the freezer composter in action! This workshop is sponsored by the Powell River Regional District’s Let’s Talk Trash Team.
